The following rates apply to Massachusetts residents for day courses; and to all students, regardless of residency, for evening and online courses:

• Total 鈥� $243 per credit
• Tuition 鈥� $26 per credit
• College Service Fee 鈥� $193 per credit
• Technology Fee 鈥� $24 per credit

To qualify, a student must:

1. Be a Massachusetts resident for at least six months prior to the start of a semester, and;
2. Submit a completed residency form to the Registrar's office. Students who do not submit a residency form will be assessed out-of-state rates.
3. Effective July 1, 2023, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts created a new, additional pathway and expanded access to the in-state tuition rate, as well as to state financial aid (See Section II below) by allowing all students, including some non-U.S. citizens, who have attended high school in the Commonwealth for at least three years, earned a diploma or the equivalent (a GED/HiSet) in the Commonwealth, and have met other documentation requirements (listed below) to be eligible to pay the in-state tuition rate at public institutions of higher education. M.G.L. c. 15A, section 9, as amended by Section 11 of Chapter 28 of the Acts of 2023 (hereinafter the "High School Completers" Tuition Equity Law). While any individual may seek to be classified with "High School Completer" status under the Tuition Equity Law, in effect the Tuition Equity law has expanded access to in-state tuition rates to undocumented students, subject to the eligibility criteria and implementation procedures set forth below. The following rates apply to New England (other than Massachusetts) and New York residents for day courses:

• Total 鈥� $256 per credit
• Tuition 鈥� $39 per credit
• College Service Fee 鈥� $193 per credit

The following rates apply to international students and all other out-of-state residents for day courses:

• Total 鈥� $477 per credit
• Tuition 鈥� $260 per credit

Senior citizens who are Massachusetts residents, 60 years of age or older, and who register for courses on a space available basis are eligible for a waiver of tuition and a reduction in fees.

Qualified seniors who are non-degree students are issued a "space available" tuition waiver. Space available means that there is a sufficient paid enrollment to meet minimum class-size requirements, but the course is not full. Space available registration generally begins about two weeks before the start of each semester. Specific registration dates and fee amounts are announced in the semester registration schedule.

Seniors can choose to take courses either for credit or on an audit basis. For more info, see Workforce and Community Education.

Application forms for the tuition waiver are available in the Registrar's Office

Completed forms should be submitted along with proof of age, e.g., driver's license. If qualified, the Registrar's Office will issue a tuition waiver certificate good for one academic year at a time.

The College accepts cash, checks, American Express, Discover, MasterCard and VISA credit cards. E-check and credit payments can be made online through students鈥� MyBCC Self-Service account. There is a 2.5% service fee charged on all credit card payments.

Payment plans are available to qualified students to enable them to pay tuition and fees in 3, 4, or 5 monthly payments. A $30.50 non-refundable fee is added to the student鈥檚 bill.

Students registered in nine (9) credits or more are automatically charged for student health insurance. They are charged $4,379 starting in the Fall or $2,919 for the Spring semester only. In order to waive the insurance (if you have insurance of your own) you need to complete the following tasks:

1. Visit .
2. Type 黑料不打烊, select 鈥�2025-26鈥� for the Plan Year and then 鈥淯ndergraduate Medical鈥� for Plan Type.
3. Select View My School Portal at the bottom of the page.
4. All students need to sign up for an account. Your old username and password would not work on this new website. Select 鈥淪ubmit Waiver Here鈥� under Already have insurance?
5. Select the term for which you want to the waive the student health insurance.
6. Read and acknowledge the Important Enrollment Information by selecting 鈥淵es, I agree to the above information鈥�. Then select Continue to Next Step.
7. Next you will 鈥淐reate an Account鈥�. Your student email is not your 鈥渟0鈥� number. It is 鈥渇irstname_lastname@student.berkshirecc.edu鈥� (if you are unsure about your email, please contact the One Stop at 413-499-4660) and for your Student ID# do not use the 鈥渟.鈥�
8. The About You page will populate. Verify the information is correct, make any changes needed, and/or complete any required fields that are missing information. Then select Save & Continue.
9. Type in your current insurance provider鈥檚 information.
10. Read Requirement Acknowledgement and check box (Yes, my plan meets the above requirements).
11. Enter Insured Details, then select Save & Continue.
12. A final review page will appear. Review for accuracy.
13. Read the Waiver Terms and Conditions and select checkbox to acknowledge agreement. Then select Finish to submit the waiver.
14. An email will be sent upon submission; however, final determination may take 24 to 48 hours.

All day students are automatically charged a $9 contribution each semester to the Massachusetts Public Interest Issues Research Group (MASSPIRG). To waive this fee students must complete their Required Agreements in Self-Service.

To complete the required agreements:

• Visit BCC鈥檚 and log in with your MyBCC account info (this is your ID number with a lower case "s". If you have trouble logging in, please submit the Online Help Request Form).
• Once logged-in click on your 鈥渟0鈥� number in the top right corner of the screen. Then select "Required Agreements."
• There will be up to 3 agreements listed to complete.
• Please click on 鈥淰iew鈥� for each, read the agreement, then choose to either 鈥淎ccept鈥� or 鈥淒ecline鈥� the agreement.
• When you complete an agreement, you will be given the option to print your agreement.
