A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is trained to help children and adults learn positive skills and behaviors. Under the supervision of a BCBA, RBTs help to implement behavioral interventions and other supports to help individuals struggling with behavioral challenges.
The 40-hour RBT training program provides instruction on many topics, including Behavior Anaylsis Basics, Data Collection and Measurement, Verbal Behavior and Behavior Reduction, Functional Assessment, and Reinforcement, and Ethics.

This project is funded through the Workforce Competitiveness Trust Fund (WCTF) FY鈥�21-FY鈥�22 Appropriations and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021 through the Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development and is administered by the Commonwealth Corporation.
The average rate of pay for a Registered Behavior Technician is $21 鈥� $27 per hour.
